ScreenCoach blocks the child from using apps on mobile/tablet devices when not allowed to be used when it has setting and permissions enabled.

The ScreenCoach apps needs to be running all the time to be able to track the time used etc.  (when the computer is awake)

You will receive notifications if there is an issue with ScreenCoach on the device or if it is offline for a while

Auto launch ScreenCoach on restart

When you install ScreenCoach, it will set it up to launch on restart

Auto restart setting

To add extra protection, ScreenCoach can be set to re-launch it self in case it has crashed, or a clever child has somehow figured out how to Quit the ScreenCoach app.

To enable this, switch to parent user - click "Device list" from main menu - select the device - enable the option "Allow Screen Time Tracking"

Other settings:

Screencoach provides below given feature to manage devices. To manage these settings switch to Parent user - click "Device List" option from main menu - select device

  • Auto logout: It can be used to Logout user once screen locked or device is left unattended. Once user log in the device, free time followed by token time is started for user. If device is left unattended/screen locked, all the time for a day will reduce. By setting Auto Logout to ON you can manage screen time wisely even when not in use. Switch as parent user - click "Device list" from main menu - select the device - toggle ON "Allow Auto Logout" also set logout delay time.

  • Block user from device - ScreenCoach can Block/Unblock user's from using a device. Blocked user cannot use this device. Also, same device can be set to use by one or more users. This feature is set to work on ScreenCoach by scrolling down to select Users tab and Toggle OFF the user you want to block.
  • Block mode from device: This advanced feature can be used if you don't want any modes to be used on the device for example a school device, may never want to allow fund mode (for games).
This feature is set to work on ScreenCoach by scrolling down to select Modes tab - Toggle OFF the Mode you want to block

  • Device Quit pin: This PIN is used to unlock the device from "Devices" on Web. Kids try to quit ScreenCoach while using computer to bypass the app. If we have a QUIT pin, they cant bypass it. They need the PIN to Quit. Parents should have a PIN to stop kid's from accessing the Parent's account on their device. You can set device quit pin as a parent from "Device List" option - select device - set Device Quit PIN.

  • Notification: Notification permissions are needed to allow Screencoach app to send warnings and reminders to the device it is installed. You can configure each user's notification preferences which apply to any device they are using. You can suppress notifications between any start time and end time.
