Parents can add extra users in ScreenCoach


A user can be one of 3 types:

  1. Child: A child will need to have every activity approved by the parent.
  2. Trusted Child: For kids that can earn tokens and gems (up to a certain value or for some activities) automatically without the parent needing to approve them. 
  3. Account Manager: Can configure the system and approve activities. A parent might add another parent or someone who can administer ScreenCoach with all the privileges that parent has.


To add a user, perform the following steps on the (parent) mobile device: 


1. Open ScreenCoach on your device.
2. Go to "Settings" from the tab bar at the bottom of the screen.
3. Click on "Add User" on the next screen.
4. Enter the "Basic details": Name, Nickname, User Type, PIN (if this is a parent user), and Email. And click "NEXT."


5. Choose an avatar for the user. You can keep the initials (maybe change the background colour), choose an avatar from the pre-existing options, or select one from your device's library.

6. Check the boxes next to the modes you want to add for this user. And hit "NEXT."

7. Set the time allowance for this user. Use the copy button to copy the allowance for a day to other days.

Free Time = Screen time allowed for the day.

Max. Time = Total screen time this user can get (including token time) for the day.

8. Hit "CREATE."

9. Click on "OK" in the success confirmation pop-up.
