Kids may be able to delete or uninstall ScreenCoach from their iOS devices in a few scenarios:
- If the child is not a part of your Apple Family
- If the child's device is managed by an MDM (Mobile Device Management), provided by their school/organisation,
How to check if a child is a part of your Apple Family:
- Go to iOS Settings on your parent iPhone.
- Tap on Family & Check if the child's Apple account is present in your family.
- If the child is not a part of your Apple Family, you can choose to create a new child account by tapping on the "+" icon (Add member) on the top right of the same Family screen and follow the prompts. Use this Apple account to log in to the child's device under iOS Settings.

If you prefer not to add the child to your Apple Family, you can leave it as it is and follow the steps below:
To prevent kids from deleting or uninstalling ScreenCoach, you have to enable Screen Time PIN as an extra layer of security and set up "disallow app deletion."
1. Screen Time PIN
Please note these before setting up the ScreenTime PIN:
- Screen Time PIN is different from the ScreenCoach PIN.
- It may prompt you to log in with your Apple ID (parent account) to enable the PIN.
- Once set, the child cannot disable or uninstall ScreenCoach without the PIN, providing an extra layer of control.
- If ScreenTime is off, you will not be able to see the option to turn on Screen Time PIN.
- In this scenario, you will have to turn on Screen Time for that particular child and then follow the below instructions to set up the Screen Time PIN.
- Once ScreenTime PIN is set up, turn off ScreenTime by tapping on "Turn Off App & Website Activity" in the same Screen Time screen.
- Please remember the Screen Time PIN you set up.
Steps to set Up a Screen Time PIN:
- On the child's device:
- Open Settings.
- Go to Screen Time.
- Scroll down and tap "Lock Screen Time Settings".
- Enter and re-enter a desired PIN to confirm.
- Open Settings.
2. Disallow App Deletion (If the Child is not a part of your Apple Family)
Steps to Follow:
- Open Screen Time on Child Device
- Scroll Down & Go to Content & Privacy Restrictions - Turn it on
- Tap on iTunes & App Store Purchases
- Change "Deleting Apps" to Disallow
