For ScreenCoach to work properly, location services must be set to  Always Allow.

However, Apple shows this message to the user every once a week or two by asking for permission to change it.

 - if it is not set to Always Allow ScreenCoach will stop running & block the apps (if app blocking has been set up)

Here is the screenshot of the popup message they will get on the IOS/iPad

Please teach your child(ren) to select the option to "Always Allow" when prompted by the popup message. If your child accidentally selects "only while using,", it can be changed later.

Follow the below FAQ for settings info:

If the child has changed the location services

  • They will be blocked (if blocking was set up)
  • You will get notifications to say the app is not running correctly
  • You will get an email each night at 10:30 listing devices that have issues
  • you will see a message on your app Re any "unhealthy" devices (select to show you)

See the screenshot of an "unhealthy device" record below:

"Locations" shows "off" or "partially" which is why ScreenCoach stopped working as we need to permit its location services to always allow
